Introduction
The Master’s degree in Accessories Design counts on the participation of leading companies in the field and some of the most important manufacturing companies of Made in Italy leather goods, such as tanneries, heel factory, productions, and laboratories.
It is a highly-professional, theoretical-practical Master’s that combines technical, stylistic, and product development teachings with the artistic-cultural aspects of research and experimentation of a collection of accessories. The course not only transfers experiences related to technological innovation in design, materials, and craftsmanship but also gives organizational and operational knowledge, useful to solve the common problems that arise working with laboratories and production companies. It is crucial that the professionals understand and know the limits and potentials between the “creative” and the “productive” process to enhance the high industrial handicrafts that characterize the Made in Italy, creating and shaping new and innovative products.
It’s a Master’s of intensive theoretical and practical studies, combining research and design, industrial and craftsmanship techniques, technological innovation, and product development as well as artistic and cultural growth. The Master’s will provide students with the conceptual knowledge base and tools necessary to understand new trends in fashion, developing new products, positioning them properly within the market of leather goods, footwear and eyewear, and be able to capture the fashion atmosphere.
Accreditation
The course is accredited by the Italian Ministry Of Education, University and Research.
At the end of the course, students who meet the Entry Requirments will receive an Academic Master Diploma (60 ECTS).
Duration
The course duration is one academic year and attendance is mandatory however to be accepted at the final assessments students must have at least 80% proven attendance.

The course is taught both in Italian and English.
This Master’s Course simulates the industry path, essential research for materials and trends, the development of new trends, market understanding, designing, technical developments, and experimentations to the communication of the specialized product.
Students at the end of the training will be able to pursue a professional career as part of a team in a creative fashion accessory design studio as a designer, researcher, or involved in product development.
Students will be required to take part in external visits to these facilities in order to become familiar with and learn about the most technologically advanced knitwear manufacturing processes.
