MA Ensemble Theatre
The MA Ensemble is focussed on the creation of a postgraduate ensemble company. The programme is designed for working professionals within the industry and for students from a creative, performance, directing, music, dance or theatre studies background who wish to engage in and develop advanced skills as theatre practitioners. Devised work forms the foundation of the course which focuses on storytelling through performance, visual image, physical theatre, writing, sound and music and the collaboration between forms as well as between individuals. The programme is aimed at those who want to participate in the reinvention of form explored through the development of the ensemble and making of theatre that is innovative, imaginative and dynamic.Over the thirteen month period, you and your fellow peers will work as an ensemble; expanding your practical and theoretical skills not only as a group, but also as an individual. The ensemble has the opportunity to devise and perform at least four times throughout the year at both venues in the College and other sites in London. One of these performances offers the ensemble the chance to tour their work overseas and showcase what they are capable of creating.
